OyunumaIt is the remains of an explosive crater formed when Mount Hiyori erupted. A sulphur spring of about 130 degrees erupts from the bottom of the pond. It is the source of hot spring water for the major hot spring hotels in Noboribetsu. There is an observation deck from which you can see the steaming lake in front of you. You can also walk to the lake to experience it up close. Walking around the lake, you can not only smell the smell of sulphur, but also see the source of the hot springs, which are always smoking and foaming. The yellow sulphur balls floating on the lake are particularly striking, and the scenic spots are closed in winter for road construction.

To experience the outdoor footbath, you have to walk a long mountain road, and the mountain road is relatively primitive. It must be to protect the original ecology, but the scenery is worth the trip. Scenic spots are closed due to road reasons in winter.
