An unforgettable adventure! The crater views were dramatic, Kusasenri was serenely beautiful, and I loved the optional horseback ride through the rolling grasslands. The whole day was well organized and never felt rushed.

What a day! We started with the grandeur of Kumamoto Castle, then felt a deep connection to nature at Aso—smoke rising from the volcano, horses on open fields, and fresh mountain air everywhere. Ending at the local kinds of market was the perfect cultural touchpoint.

Easily one of the most breathtaking tours I’ve done in Kyushu! Seeing the smoking Nakadake crater up close was intense and awe-inspiring. Strolling across the Kusasenri grasslands with horses grazing and vast mountain views was so peaceful. Ending the day browsing local treats at Michi-no-Eki ASO rounded the trip off perfectly.

This tour balanced history, nature, and culture beautifully. Kumamoto Castle’s samurai heritage was immersive, while Mount Aso’s crater reminded me of Earth’s raw power. Kusasenri’s emerald meadow was like stepping into a dream. The guide was informative and kept everything flowing smoothly.
